Contacting DCCconcepts:

We do our best to be available at times to suit the modeller (hence our weekend opening times)

We are also very mindful that our modelling friends and clients are located all over the world, so we also try to maintain an email presence at times to suit you, usually being available nightly from 8pm to 11pm, and then from 10am to 5pm daily… So, even if you are on the other side of the world, if we miss your emails arrival, we will certainly be able reply before you wake up the following day.

If you are in need of in depth information, even if you are overseas, please don’t hesitate to add your telephone number (and time zone) to your emails - its often better to talk things through, as email often misses the detail and it’s important for me to know your approach to the hobby to give the best quality advice and information, so I’m happy to call you when needed!

Shipping to & From DCCconcepts:

We find that both internal and international post services are usually both highly efficient and reliable, however we do note that sometimes, the models sent to us have not been packed as well as they might have been.

We cannot be responsible for bad packing before we receive the item so here are a few tips to help you.

(1)  If you are sending in the original packaging, wrap the loco in tissue or thin plastic sheet (a freezer bag is ideal) before packing it in the box.

(2) Be sure the model fits tightly into the box. If its not firmly held by the original packaging, please pack it so it will not move using either wadded tissue paper or paper towels

(3) Wrap the boxed model FIRMLY with bubble wrap and tape securely.

(4) Make sure to enclose a note in the box with your name, return address, detailed instructions as to work to be done and if possible your credit card details.

(5) Place the wrapped loco in a shipping box—if you do not have one the Post office always has good stock! Pad the box firmly with more bubble wrap on all sides so that the model cannot move, then seal it properly.

(6) Add a clear “DCCconcepts address” to the parcel AND of course, a clear return address.

Text Box: EX UK or EUROPE:
Please use Airmail first class or EMS (EMS is equivalent to Global priority registered airmail).

EX USA:
Please use Airmail which is usually “USPS Global priority airmail”

EX ASIA / PACIFIC:
Please use Airmail first class or EMS (EMS is equivalent to Global priority registered airmail).

CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS:
Please declare it as “toy train parts for service” or “toy train parts for warranty service”.
If parcels are kept below $AUD 1,000 then there will be no need for formal clearance providing that the standard customs form required by the post office is clearly filled out.
If you wish to insure be sure to declare value correctly.

WHEN WE SEND TO YOU:
We’ll use the same high quality services as detailed above. PLEASE SPECIFY if you would also like your item to be insured.
Insuring any article increases your post costs so we will normally not insure unless the item is valued at over $1,000 or unless you request that we do so.
