4 LED vehicle Harnesses

NANOlight Vehicle harnesses will be in packs of THREE. They already include correct value resistors and can be connected to any power source from 6 to 12v. They draw very little current and so many can be powered from a single “wall plug pack”.

To make installation easy, we have used basic DCC colour codes for connecting wires, and the red and white ends are identified by use of red wire between red LEDs, white between white.

Installation is as easy as can be. Some model cars already have holes with lenses in, in which case, all you need do is glue the LEDs in place then paint the rear of the LEDs black to reduce any light bleed. Where the car has no pre-prepared headlight positions, just drill out head and tail lights and glue the LEDS in place, followed by adding lenses with either a small bit of plastic rod or a drop of clear epoxy.

If you need to adjust harness size, then simply snip out a wee bit of wire between the LEDS—much easier than soldering an LED this small!!

Each is packed in a separate bag to prevent tangling in the package and as they are delicate due to their small size, they should remain in the bags until ready to use. While we have already added some resistors, so they are easy for you to install, you may wish to dim them further. This is easily done by adding a 1k or similar resistor in series with one of the power connection wires.

Leads are colour coded (Blue = +) 150mm long for easy installation.

We suggest that you attach the leads below the baseboard to a small PCB strip to act as strain relief, ensuring that a snagged wire will not damage your lit vehicles!
